Brigadier General (MC) Dr Jens Diehm
Brigadier General Dr Jens E. K. Diehm is the Director of the NATO Military Medical Centre of Excellence in Budapest, Hungary, a role he assumed in 2025. A senior German military medical officer, he has extensive experience in operational and strategic military medicine, including leadership roles within the German Armed Forces’ medical services and the Medical Operations Support Command.
Dr Diehm has deployed on multiple international missions, including in Bosnia and Afghanistan, serving in key clinical and advisory positions such as Senior Medical Officer and medical advisor to multinational commands. His career reflects a strong focus on medical operations, force health protection, and multinational interoperability.
He has also held senior hospital leadership appointments, including Commander and Medical Director of the Central Military Hospital in Koblenz, and is a graduate of the NATO Defense College in Rome. Promoted to Brigadier General in 2020, he has been recognised with several military honours for his service
Dr Diehm is married and has two daughters, and values family life alongside his professional commitments.
